Walk into the light
Walk to where there is nothing and sit down in the cave of nothingness
Nothing can harm you there
Nothing can converge on you
You need not be frightened
Nothing will press in on your ribs as you try to breathe
No strong man will be there
You will not need to tense your body for the awful yell
You will not need to put your hands over your ears as you listen to the angry things he says
It will not hurt to listen there
Will there be someone there to help me?
Someone there to care?
You will be alone in the whiteness
Alone in your blindness with nothing there to see
But will I feel?
Only what you have felt through all time
The fear of feeling
The rigid shell of your body, keeping out the pain you fear
The shooting pains of your childhood
But, what if the pain is no longer there?
What if it has subsided through the years?
I cannot take the chance
Cannot take the chance of feeling the sharp edges of his anger pierce my skin again
Then, you must stay in the white forever
For, here only can you exist
Here only will you never be afraid
Lay your head down, now, my friend
Lay your head down on the hard white of the cool stone
Pull up your legs and try to sleep
Nothing can harm you here
No pain cannot touch you here
Only the fear of living
You have found the whiteness
You are home.

I'm healing now, and I wasn't sure I would.
