Oh look mommy! they're so cute, the way they snuggle in with their mom. Its almost like they are one big ball of love!
Hey! What's the matter with that one mommy? He looks a little diferent....looks like someone nipped his ear. Why do they push him out of the ball of love mommy? It looks like he's not getting anything to eat or any loving. OOh! Hey! They're kind of mean to him too.

- Well dear, that just happens in nature. There are always those that are rejected or have some sort of problem with others of their own kind.

Why mommy? Why do they reee - juct him?

- Well, it could be because he's the weakest of the lot...could be because he has that big-old bit on his ear and everyone sees it. Some animals are just born different...and he's one of them.

Will he get sold and go to a good home too?

- No dear, I doubt that. He'll either stay behind here at this farm or ..... well.....let's not even think of that....lets look at these cute normal ones snuggle in with their mom. Oh look at that one....he'll make a fine dog for someone!

Geez, Robbie you got me looking in the mirror checking my ear. Sure enough there is a notch in it. Well.... that explains a lot.

Far be it for me to tell you that mommy is wrong ...
but she is ...

its been my experience that the runt of the litter attracts
those with a kind heart and soul, those who recognise the inner
strength the runt has shown to survive ...
they'll take the runt home and watch & nurture as time proves everyone else wrong,
the runt grows and becomes just like the rest with the right love and attention ...

In the long run, they turned out to be the most loyal and dependable dogs.

I have 7 siblings. Why was I always looked at and still do as
The Runt Of The Litter? Any way, that is how I feel. My older brother sexual abused me, my other siblings treated me like shit and my parents didn't bother to listen to me.

Guess they were too busy making more babies instead of loving the babies they allready had.
