lol - I've always liked Calvin and Hobbes - that clip speaks volumes to me as well - I hated school too - though I did learn much there - guess it's just a necessary evil of growing up that one has to endure school - - I know that does'nt make it any more fun - but... - you've got friends here you can talk with about those things at school that bother you - did anything in perticular happen at school that has you feeling this way today?

I do agree with you... a friend of mine is a school teacher - even she will admit that the quality of education is very poor in many schools - in some areas it is slowly getting better - but change is slow whenever the government is involved

I felt like this too. Sometimes I did not go to school. However, I graduated later from the University with honors just because I was interested in studying.

I miss school, personally. I had a lot of fun in high school. A lot less responsibility when you're a teen, too. Only things I had to worry about was homework and a part-time job.

yeah, well, sometimes there are bigger things to worry about for some people than just work and school work.

School can be rough. I spent my freshman year in high school just barely getting through and cutting alot, algebra in particular, till I got busted that is. Then I just did what I had to do to stay under the radar. Things did improve though and by the time I got out I found I was a pretty good student - still hated school though, I was much better out in the world. I have to admit now though that going on to college would have cut alot of sharp corners I ran into over the years. Oh well.

I do have a good job now, but as I said, I ran into alot of sharp edges before I got there. Probably could have cut 15-20 years off the struggle and been better off had I listened to my parents. But at the time, what the heck did they know?! Turns out, it was way more than I gave them credit for. My bad *lol*

Anyway - do your homework! *lol*

It took me 5 years to get through HS because I was an emotional mess. I could not consentrate and did not care about anything...especially school work.

When I was finally ready to apply myself 8 years later in college, I aced everything and moved on to a major University for a Masters.

So even if you hate HS, or your grades suck, or whatever, you can turn things around for yourself. Better to turn them around sooner than later though.

Same here, except that I spent 5 years in high school and ended up with a GED. I don't think I could've properly been called an emotional "mess", nor could I probably use the excuse that I couldn't concentrate. But I DID not care about anything, especially school work. Homework, particularly. It was a habit I developed, and there's a reason I developed it, but that's kind of a longer story.

next time i get ban, you can serve it for me.

I guess if I spent less time in high school stoned and more time on homework I might've had less fun. LOL

if I could get stoned=I would have more fun too
