This is unlike my style of more detailed postings, but here is what keeps going through my mind:

"It is what it is."

Dear S-n-S,
That brought a smile, in part because that was one of my first, and dearest, therapist's favorite sayings.
Now, I don't always know what it means! But it sounds good, and it's probably true: meaning, I guess, that all of our deepest wishes won't make things different, won't change the past. Damn hard to accept most of the time, I find.
How about, "Wherever you go, there you are"?
;\)
Peace,
HG

Dear Honey girl:

Thanks for offering me a chuckle in return! I like "wherever you go, there you are!"

Best wishes,

To add to your "short post" a little bit of randomness...

I like "it is what it is", I have also heard "it is what you want it to be" or "it is what you make it" Although I'm not entirely convinced of those ones! ha ha!!

I think the quote I have found recently that best describes how I feel a lot of the time (not always) is "I am a hopeful cynic"...

How about:

"I'm not ok, and you're not ok, and that's ok!

Hi guy and gals,

SNS - It is what it is - is something I hear every day from my boss. It's a very true statement, but oh so annoying to me anymore. It always seems to crop up when things are crap too, as they are at work right now, oh well.

I'll go with "Shit happens, clean it up!"

I like "wherever you go, there you are!" too. There's nothing like stating the obvious to lighten a mood.

ROCK ON.......Trish
