(Something I try to write in response to some people who make not supporting comments to me recent. I am not a poet, not in English or mine own language, but I try to speak what I can here)

Please do not judge me, because I am man
I am only like you, doing best I can.

Please do not judge me, or think I am weak
It is just like you, support what I seek.

Please do not judge me, or tell me how to heal
I control what I can, but I not how I feel.

Please do not hurry me, or say I 'must be the man'.
Emotions are for women, is what I understand.

Please do not judge me, if you have not walked in my shoes
When you do not know what else in my life, I lose

Please do not judge me, or think we are the same
All we share are the feelings of loss, hurt and blame.

But please do not judge me, or compare me to you
When you think that I am not healing as you think I should do.

Please just listen, and treat me as friend
As I will offer myself to you until the end.

Please understand, that I am lost like a child
But trying to heal, it is just taking the while.

And please understand, that I may never forgive
But I am continuing to try to heal, and to live.

Thank you for the reminder. It's very hard for those that care to not jump in and try to take over, all in the name of helping. The desire is sincere, but the effect is the exact opposite of what we want to accomplish.

VN for not being a poet and not being your native language you do very well expressing yourself. I think your request is very good and I will do my best to honor it and you.

VN, If I have learned nothing else here, it is that there is a beauty in all of us, each of us unique in our song. Abuse has put a spell on us allowing us to appreciate even more the beauty that we see in others, while taking away our ability to see the beauty that is within. That's why it's so important that we keep telling each other exactly what we see. Part of healing is that the spell will be broken and once more we will realize that, when God created each one of us, He created a being of great beauty with an amazing capacity for love. Not judge you? I'm afraid I already have. You're kind and loving and caring and beautiful just the way God made you.

Please forgive me for not being the friend I should have been, to take time to listen to you and not tell you how to heal. We have discussed this and we are cool now, but this poem really breaks my heart, Sport.

You are a very good poet, and didn't even know it. Gee, maybe I have the talent, too!

Sometimes I think just listening to each other here, is the great gift of healing we can offer, although I do try to say what I have learned myself along the way.

I think the poem is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing that.
