"When it comes time -- you look to God as your Daddy and know he has in your heart for you - what I have for you. A profound sense of awe and love." "
I love this.
Andy
Hey Andy,
I thought you might like to know - my Daddy was a proud, true, red, white, and blue Alamo loving Texan. I never got into it as much as he did. We had relatives up north as well. It was sort of a Yankee verses the Rebel clan. My Dad took the rebel side. He thought the only thing wrong with the Andrew Jackson legend was - (Andy Jackson) wasn't from Texas. He felt that if he had have been from Texas - the State would have never joined the Union.
I feel that Texas pride is what gave him the courage to stand up and do the right thing for his "queer" son.
For that -- I love him as much as I have a special place in my heart for the State of Texas and all it's citizens. (Past, present, and future.)
Sincerly,
DKing
