for many years now, i have stood behind this door,
too afraid to say anything to anybody,
but those days are over,
i'm going to tell it to whoever will listen,

what you did to me,
what you took from me,
it wasn't yours to take,
it was all for nothing,
it was for your sick
sexual satisfaction.

i was a child,
an innocent child,
i didn't know the first thing
about sex,
and i shouldn't have learned it
from you.

the first time was supposed to be
with someone i loved,
someone that i chose,
it should have been tender and sweet,
it should not have been with my sister.

i don't care what happens to you anymore,
i don't care how many people know,
i'm tired of your pitiful denial,
so i'm warning you now,
i'm unlocking the door,

and whatever comes out........comes out.

You go Kelticwarrior. Unlock that door once and for all. Let the secrets be known. I have felt a huge weight life from my heart when my dad died and I realized I could tell. It was over. No more secrets. Great poem and great thought well said.

thanks roger,

it is really comforting to get feedback from people who actually know what i am really feeling. i have had people in my life who have not been csa victims, who just don't understand the enormity of what goes on inside you. if you liked this poem i have others i would love to get your feedback on. one similar to this called "sister pain" another "the vulture". i also have a couple that are about love and the pein of losing love. "sunshine" is one, "i crushed an angel" is another.anyway thanks again for the support.

Kelly

I have read sunshine and I crushed an angel and wondered if they are about the same person. It was such a private and deeply personal set of poems it got me wonderng. Beautifully made and very intimate. Thanky you for sharing this with us.

Roger,
thanks so much, you are exceptionally perceptive.i believe this woman is my soul mate, and also a csa survivor.fortunately she has had therapy at a young age. if i can't get the help i need through therapy,to learn how to let her love me,i am afraid i will lose her forever. thanks for your thoughts.
