Hi needhelp

I'm going to link this thread to formertexan, he's a moderator at this site and lives in the Denver area. I believe that he can help you.

needhelp,

I am in a suport group in the Denver area. Go to wingsfound.org. We meet every week for 2 hours. It is an awesome organization. Phone number in Denver/Lakewood is 303-238-8482.

Good luck,

Ken

Ken, I noticed that this organization facilitates both women and men. Are the groups mixed as well? Or, are the groups for women and men separated? Just curious.

Wings Foundation started out for women only.
"Wings" stands for WOMEN IN NEED GROWING STRONGER.

Now of course, it is an organization for sexual abused men and women. The groups are not mixed. I have been a member of a group out of Boulder for around 4 months now. It is an awesome experience to meet with 5 other survivors each week. We have all become to helpful to each other. I am very grateful to have these guys help me through my recovery. I am going to the WoR this weekend in California. My group members are helping me get throught these last few days b/4 I leave on Friday.

Ken

Wow, this post brings memories (was posted in 2003). I joined the wings foundation group in downtown denver for a little over two years (till early 2006). It is a wonderful group and I make good friends.Unfortunetely it became harder to continue and a lot of people I started with moved on and new ones came in and somehow lost the comfort level. I am ok now managing well by keeping busy and spiritual. I still long for the male touch and hug and fortunately I stopped searching for that in the wrong places. Thank you guys
