SO its been a real roller coaster and I had to go back to what was working at least some of the time. I'm still not back to 100% of how I was but its getting there. I was also sick on top of that which did not help. The higher dose caused mania which wore me out. Now I'm dealing with a hypo mania but its much milder. Thats the problem with tweaking meds si we just never know what will happen.
I cant take Haldol it caused me to grind my teeth so I'm back to the old stand by Zyprexa. My brother will be here today at 2:00pm EST and I hope I'll feel better by then. I hate having to rely on my mom but I got to do what I got to take care of me. I can't endanger others if my driving will be impaired.
this is just a rant update on my situation. I wish I felt better and I will its just going to take time.

Hang in there Ricky this is a really tough thing. Meds are all patient specific and much can affect how they work in you. Emotional state, diet, overy all health, and what works for a while may not work 6 months from now. I am thinking of you and hoping your better soon. Miss you.

Ricky,

Glad you're feeling better this afternoon. I hope you feel comfortable about taking any questions or problems with your meds to your doctor. It's not whining and complaining to do that. As Roger says, meds for this kind of problem often take a lot of adjustment before a suitable combination and dose can be found, and when we take our med problems to our doctor all we're doing is asking for the help we need and deserve.

Much love,
Larry

OK today was better than last, got back down to where I was before the upped dosage was and then restarted the new one without the higher dose of Lamictal. So far so good. I should be calmer and much more focused. I was still coming down on the Lamictal when we introduced the new med and there was a reaction. This time no reaction and I am feeling better. I am starting to feel like my old new self again \:\)
We will see how it goes although its 11:30 and I'm not very tired. Probably just would up from having my family here. Its been a great experience.
