I just heard on the radio a song I have not heard in over 10 yrs. I remember listening to it just after my abuse ended, I think it helped me get by in some way.

sometimes my eyes fill with tears
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LKVZ4NTfUc

Primitive radio Gods "standing outside a broken phone booth with money in my hand"

Jan lays down and wrestles in her sleep
Moonlight spills on comic books
And superstars in magazines
An old friend calls and tells us where to meet
Her plane takes off from Baltimore
And touches down on Bourbon Street

We sit outside and argue all night long
About a god we've never seen
But never fails to side with me
Sunday comes and all the papers say
Ma Teresa's joined the mob
And happy with her full time job

Do do do do doo do

Am I alive or thoughts that drift away?
Does summer come for everyone?
Can humans do as prophets say?
And if I die before I learn to speak
Can money pay for all the days I lived awake
But half asleep?--(my favorite lyric).

Do do do do doo do x 2

A life is time, they teach us growing up
The seconds ticking killed us all
A million years before the fall
You ride the waves and don't ask where they go
You swim like lions through the crest
And bathe yourself on zebra flesh

I've been downhearted baby,
I've been downhearted baby,
Ever since the day we met

(repeat)

This too, never mind the visual... just the lyrics, plus the interpretation.
PS Logan, that Primitive Radio Gods song always gripped me too...

As far as a piece of music sung by a boy's choir that riveted me, this would be it.

Goo Goo Dolls-Broadway......Kinda feel like I'm on the subject of this song a lot of times. Especially with a lot of the stuff that goes down at school......and how I kinda regret it after knowing it isn't how I should deal.

Broadway is dark tonight
A little bit weaker than you used to be
Broadway is dark tonight
See the young man sitting
In the old man's bar
Waiting for his turn to die

The cowboy kills the rock star
And Friday night's gone too far
The dim light hides the years
On all the faded girls

Forgotten but not gone
You drink it off your mind
You talk about the world
Like it's someplace that you've been

You see you'd love to run home
But you know you ain't got one
And you're livin' in a world
That you're best forgotten around here

You choke down all your anger
Forget your only song
You pray to statues when you sober up for fun
Your anger don't impress me
The world slapped in your face
It always rains like hell on the losers day parade

Broadway is dark tonight
See the young man sitting
In the old man's bar
Waiting for his turn to die

You see you'd love to run home
But you know you ain't got one
'Cause you're livin' in a world that you're best forgotten
And when you're thinkin' of a joke
And nobody's gonna listen
To the one small point
I know they been missin' round here

Broadway is dark tonight
See the young man sitting
In the old man's bar
Waiting for his turn to die

This makes me want to cry almost every time I hear it.
