Until then the extended versions in LETTERBOX

Parenthood with Steve Martin

To make me laugh:
Jim Carrey - The Mask, or Dumb and Dumber or Lier, Lier
Big Fat Lier

Healing movies (for me)(but watch out. Some of these have violence that might not be good for some)
Oliver Twist (Polanski)
Oliver (Musical)
I Am David
Flight of the Innocent (bloody violence at first)
I'm Not Scared

I Love standup Comedians. My 2 faverats are Lisa Lampanelli and Lewis Black. But watch out, they can be very insulting and are filled with anger. If you are still undaunted, check 'em out at http://www.youtube.com

Right on about Lord of the Rings.
2 more for me
What's eating Gilbert Grape
The Breakfast Club (reminds me of better days back in high school)

Leo D in Gilbert Grape was nothing short of brilliant
I was working in a record store when the Breakfast Club came out
Got a preview pass before it was released thru work
No one knew anything much about the movie
The premiere was on a Saturday morning (like their detention)
The theatre was less than 1/2 full because of the time
I left that movie in a state of elation

The Boys and Girl From County Clare-Any fan of Irish music would be advised to give this a watch. can't believe I forgot to mention it! It picks me right up!

The music is toe-tapping, and Colm Meany and Bernard Hill command the screen. The rest of the cast is pretty good too and is almost entirely unknowns (except Andrea Corr of the band the Corrs, she was decent, better then most musicians who act I guess)
