I got my pond/ fountain up and running this weekend, planted some snapdragons and some other ground cover around the pond.
It was a good day!

Wow Ricky. I'm impressed! Snapdragons are one of my favorite. So beautiful and you've got a fountain with it. I've got to come sit in my lawn chair and relax with you this summer beside it, eh?

*The Missouri Botanical spring flower show (it's an awesome display)

*Sitting in the shade of a big tree, on a lawn chair, just relaxing

Must be nice to not have 2 feet of snow on the ground in March. I can't plant anything until end of April.

What a cool idea. Okay, a few of mine:

barbecuing outside
no more muddy paw prints through the kitchen
going for walks over to the next village
playing slide guitar with friends on the common
planting herbs and flowers
watching neighbors mow their grass
sitting with my wife out on the patio with our morning coffee

This is an update...

I posted "day 16" about an hour and a half ago. It is now no longer snowing...

IT IS A BLIZZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went out just before I made "Day 16" to get the newspaper, and now you can't even see the footprints I made. At the time there was about 3" on the ground. As I look out my window, considering leaving for work, I just can't get up the nerve to go out in this S@#T!!!

YEAH!!!!! Snow Day!!!!

But I do wish Spring would get here Soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now I'll be on most of the day, anyone want to join me for a "snow day play date"?

Looking outside, it's hard to think

Only 15 Days And Counting...

Official snow total was 10.4 inches, but we have a wide range of totals across the area. I am about to shovel almost 12 inches from my sidewalk.

So I am really looking forward to the first day of Spring...

*No more shoveling

*No more bundling up, just to go outside

Sorry, can't think of anything else while I am sitting here contemplating all the snow I am about to move off the sidewalk.

Come on... Add your thoughts ... just to cheer me up.

I am also looking forward:

*Camping in the great outdoors again (a leftover from my scouting days)

*Campfires while camping out (spring is a great time to camp because the bugs haven't really taken over yet)

*being outside the city limits and laying back looking at all the stars in the sky

Did I mention I love gardening?

I want to be barefoot and feel the grass in the backyard;

I want to be barefoot and feel the sand at the beach; I want to be barefoot in my bathingsuit on a lounge chair at the beach with a cocktail that has a little umbrella in it..........Mmmm, I seem to be skipping Spring and jumping into summer......that's not right.

I want smell freshly turned dirt;
I can't wait to smell the rain coming in on a warm breeze;
watching the birds play in our birdbath

Ahhhhh, so many things to look forward to........
