Here's an idea that was brought up in another thread.

Let's look forward to spring! It seems that winter and all the grey days affect our moods. So I am going to start a list of things I am looking forward to, when spring does get here.

19 Days Until The First Day Of Spring!

I look forward to:

*the spring bulbs popping up in my yard

*not filling the windsheild washer fluid every other day

*My car being clean for more than one day (I hate rock salt)

*Not wearing a heavy coat just to go pick up the daily paper from my yard

...

losing my winter weight.

Not wasting gas when I do my crossword in the morning

Sitting at the park bench instead of in my car when doing my crossword

not salting my front steps every 3 hours

not thinking I should quit smoking every two hours, okay I should still think that but on MY TERMS

Not feeling so housebound, yea I don't go out much but nice to have the option

not looking over and under the smear on my winshield

No more long-johns, woot woot.

Motorcycle rides with family and friends

Peanuts and beer on the front porch

Seeing our neighbors again

Local farmers market

Gardening

Planting flowers

Gardening! I love taking care of my plants and flowers. I have new beds planned for this year so I can't wait to start digging and planting!

(and today we are under a winter storm watch... 6 to 10 inches of snow expected between now and Tuesday)

*The smell of freshly cut grass. (not that kind... )...I won't cut it myself, but I do love the smell.

*The sounds of the birds in the morning, with my windows open.

*The sun warmed fresh air blowing in my face.

Ohhhhh.... I long for spring to arrive!
