You guys should shout out to Larry. He IS Darth Moderator, after all... LOL
Man, there were so many great moments, how could I pic my favorite? The Ewoks were great, but I'm not usually a warm and fuzzy kinda guy... I loved the "Luke, I AM your father" moment (I have a client with a young son named Luke, and we pull that one on both of them, occasionally). I also love Jabba and his 'sail' boats' on Tattouine as well him and Ms. Hutt at the Raceway... The giant worm that almost ate the Millenium Falcon on that asteroid... Anekin and Obiwan dueling... Oh, must I go on???
Star Wars is great! George Lucas is an Ass, but that's a different subject.
Ewoks to you all!

I love starwars i love it to death(star. lol
anyways i really enjoy the original movies. when Princess laya says i love you and solo replies I know. as soon as i heard that i thought he is the coolest character in the world.
I have them on DVD but seeing them "remastered" really bugs me i want the original movies i think Lucas made a huge mistake and took some of the magic away making them more modern.

when Princess laya says i love you and solo replies I know. as soon as i heard that i thought he is the coolest character in the world. That's got to be one of the best lines in all the movies. But what about the coolest image? Can anyone top Princess Laya in that hot outfit chained to Jaba the Hutt? lol

A Rebel Pilot would be a noble position to take, but the Empire had more cool toys to play with. I would much rather have my own Star Destroyer!
I'm with you. I always wanted to be an Imperial officer, like Admiral Piett!

I'm with you. I always wanted to be an Imperial officer, like Admiral Piett! Ever notice a lot of the officers for the Empire had British accents? Is that hidden American patriotism? LOL I can think of at least 3 off the top of my head -- but no one else in the movies seems to share that trait. *shrug* Nothing against my British friends, just noticed it. LOL

That's pretty common: movie villains often tend to have British accents. Also, Lucas used a lot of British actors (most likely for the cost!).
Also, you've got a point: Britain still somewhat clings to the tradition of being an imperial power and America is supposed to stand for liberty and democracy in defiance of empire...*ahem* *cough*
I think pretty much all the Imperial officers were Brits. So too was David Prowse (the guy in Darth Vader's suit) and the Emperor himself (Ian MacDiarmaid).
Of course, so too were Alec Guinness as Obi Wan and Anthony Daniels as C3P0.
The latter is the other stereotype that British accents are cast with: the prissy, effeminate sissys.

I like star wars. I always sided with the bad guys. Darth Vader and the emporer.
R2D2 and C3PO remind me of Laurel and Hardy. they are so funny. The death star was an awesome weapon.
The emporer he is a British actor. Then there was Christopher Lee as count dooku.

I don't remember exactly which movie right now but they shut down C3P0 while in the Millenium Falcon and you can see him breathing. I'll have to watch them again soon, it's only been a few months so I'm about do.
I'd be a Jedi but crossdress as an original stormtrooper.

I love the seduction scene in the Emperor's throne room in ROTJ. It's very sexual, especially when Palpatine carresses Luke's lightsaber and coos "You want this, don't you? The hate is swelling in you now. Take your Jedi weapon. Use it. I am unarmed. Strike me down with it. Give in to your anger. With each passing moment, you make yourself more my servant... It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now mine!

Nah, at the beginning of "Return of the Jedi", the officer who tells Darth Vader "we shall double our efforts" is quite American-sounding. Moff Jerjerrod, played by Michael Pennington. Born June 7th, 1943 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.

Okay, okay ... but what do you reckon the LAMEST line in all those films was? I don't have any candidates off the top of my head, but there must be some great ones.

One can be certain that the lamest line appeared in one of the prequels. Star Wars was never high art, but the dialogue in those film reeked like a flatulent bantha...
What was supposed to be the climactic final duel between Anakin and Obi Wan in Episode III was plagued by a hailstorm of clunky lines, but I would nominate anything uttered by Jar-Jar or the child Anakin in Episode I.
