many of you know how I moved to Toronto, Canada.

When I was there I was very inspired to create.
Why is it that here, back in California, I am not.

I was creative also in Boston and San Francisco when visiting.
For some reason Los Angeles sucks my soul.
I feel claustrophobic and fearful.

There are no boundaries here - anti intellectualism - and
I tend to loose my spine.

Some things are nice but somehow I feel stuck in a piece of plastic when I am here.

Sorry for the vent. It's good to be near my family but for some reason now - it feels like I am in some weird movie about a "fake world."

whatever -

Mark

perhaps when I get my camera back things will change.
Perhaps much of it is about doing. Just doing and keep doing.

Mark, that is LA for you. It will suck your soul out. I am born and raised there and left to go east for college. I tried to come back after 4 years in Vermont and I just could not do it.

I felt suffocated by the city and the people. Within a year I had moved back east and have remained here on the East coast ever since.

You can not pay me enough to ever move back to LA

I am often disgusted at what LA seems to do to my friends once they have lived there for a while. I don't think I could ever be convinced to live there.

My aunt lived there for a while, and would say, "Underneath all the fake tinsel on these people, you'll find the real tinsel."
