is there a point of satisfaction or will I always be confused?
as I break through one misty cloud I am expecting another to arise
and it does, or has so far
is the expectation the catalyst?
is there an antidote
for what turned out to have been a venomous bite
the onset of poison leading slowly to an inevitably painful death?
a lifetime in the process though
not a quick pop! and your gone.
if it were so easy ………
but I know it’s not
and I make a choice to live on
with the hope of reconnecting at least a little
to the comfort of just feeling OK!

thanks guys, I had a rough day yesterday but am back to the feeling of being OK. I guess we all ride the same rollercoaster. It is a comfort when you guys pick up on and offer understanding of the feeble words that try to describe complex feelings.

Missing the loneliness ... I remember something like that as therapy was allowing me to heal and gradually jettison the host of bad feelings I had about being me.

It astonished me to discover that sometimes I missed this or that feeling. How could that be? Part of the answer is that these feelings have been with us so long we have accepted them as part of the "real me". So when they are gone we feel strange and uncomfortable.

But that passes, Dan. We do get to the point where we can actually enjoy the reality that we never deserved any of those bad feelings in the first place.
