Some times I wander of my self. If I am useing MST for a crutch.
The veterans administration says that I am only 60% disabled.
Why can't I just pull my self together. And go get a job.
Am I just a fat lazy slob ?
I managed to keep a job before the supresed memorys resurfaced. Why cant I do it now ?

Mike,

I listen to you.

The reason you have difficulty keeping job is that your painful memories take over you.

Working on these feelings with a specialist is the best thing you can do now.

A male group can also be an option for you.

Alexey

The VA will try to get out of anything; cheap is the catch word. Are you still going to a therapist? Suppressed memory is usually diagnosed by a mental health professional, so what suggestions were you given? Any groups you can go to? Check it out but don't handle it yourself. Just don't give up.

I have repeatly asked the Veterans Hospital Form a group sesion
for Military Sexual Trama . MST is a reconized diagnois That they treat thousands of veterans for every year . I am sure that I am not the only veteran that uses the same mental health clinic. The problem is that most MST cases are Female Veterans. God know they need help. BUT They do have a MST group . I do understand why I am not alowed to join this group. It just would not be a safe place for a Male
But nune the less I still think that there are other men that could form a group sesion .
I have ben a member of this group for several years . Some times I thing that I get more good out of "Male Survivor"
than I have goten from all the so caled Doctor

Have you been diagnosed with PTSD due to MST? In many instances they go together, but not always. There are not a lot of groups for MS, vets or not. It would depend where you live. Mental health centers (State or private) or treatment facilities should know of local groups - but not always the case unfortunately.

It's bad enough being MS but the added crap of being a Vet survivor can really mess up wounded self-image. And I'm sure you have gone one line to check but don't stop and keep asking.
