I was so inspired and touched by the survivor films that Alexey and Frost made that I had a go at it my self.

Ricky that is amazing. I had to back it up several times because the words go by so quick for my slow brain. I was moved to tears watching and listening to the song. You did a great job on that. You guys are sooo talented. Envy envy envy. Keep it up. Get the word out. God has given you a message and a talent for sharing it. I am so impressed. Thank you for the link so I could see that.

It was a very moving experience to create it. Tried not to get too emotional during the creation. Johny Cash was my dads favorite singer. so that means something to me too.

Oh my goodness...Wow. You just told my story. The confusion....driving everyone away....no one knew who I was...I did not know who I was....the drugs...the sex...the lifestyle. But there is hope and the secret is out and I am better. I did not deserve that. It was not my fault. I will not be shammed. I want to live today. One day at a time. I face the truth. I live a life of recovery, from sexual abuse and drugs and alcohol. My experience will one day help another...that is the only way I could ever explain my life...thats the only way I can make sense of it all. Thank you for your courage. Thank You.

Your welcome everyone. I could not have done this alone.
Your support has been priceless in my recovery and I wanted to give something back.
Thank you all for your support. I'm glad you got something from the movie.
des263 I was born in October 1963 a blue baby. Spent a while in an incubator like l little chick until my lungs cleared out. and it was all down hill from there...lol...
Not really I did enjoy a lot of my early childhood :-) Most traumatic stuff was after 8yo.

I was actually thinking about this today and was going to ask you if you had this strange feeling.
Maybe its the feeling of exposure yet its for a good cause so the exposure is not as strong as our willingness to tell the truth in order to help others know there is hope.

Rick,

I wanted to add to all the other comments what a great job you did on your film. I am learning so much about myself from everything on this site, and your film really pulled some emotions strings. Dang, I am even starting to shed some tears over all this stuff and I am pretty sure that is a good thing.

Thanks,
Eric

Thank for your support its been very uplifting.
Here is a link to the newly rendered version in higher resolution

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFIZPYUd2dM

You can now actually read the words because they are clearer and stay on the screen a bit longer before the next frame.

Ricky,

That's a brave and amazing piece of work and I know it will help anyone who sees it. And you picked exactly the right song to accompany it.

Much love,
Larry

Thanks Larry & Ken
I don't feel so brave, I feel very vulnerable and exposed. You all here have been very supportive and I am grateful for that support. However some of the people I have disclosed this to have not been. I posted about the experience in a different thread. It's hard to feel brave at this time since some I know have placed blame on me for telling the truth. You know I'm saddened they feel that way but it's not my fault that this is the truth. It really pisses me off when nobody says anything about the pink Heffalump in the living room, and attack the one who points it out.

I'm sure there is a psycho babble name for this, I'll have to ask my T but I think its called denial or avoidance.
