We would like your help in creating an original music video that would reach out and grab the hearts of people . The first thing we need is some powerful lyrics. After we get the words we will add music and then some powerful images ,photo's and art work. When you read and write the words think about what images you have that would have an impact.

We will be adding this finished music video to the Report to Congress.

For the first song We will be asking why society shut their eyes, turned their back, didn't protect us, didn't help us heal.

Below is something I started but fill free to run with it in any direction you want.

Why Couldn't You See.....

Just a child so small I didn't understand it all...

What I couldn't see was what he was do'n to me...

What he did with me would stay with me...

cuz no one could see what he did with me...

The law couldn't save me.

Why couldn't you see, what was happening to me?
Why couldn't you hear, what was going on in here?

Why did you turn away, when I tried to speak,
But didn't know what words to say?
Why did you think it was just a stage,
when all I did was act out in rage?

Why didn't you see me?
Why didn't you hear me?
Why didn't you save me
from the pain and agony?

Why did you leave me all on my own?
Why did you dismiss me and and leave me to roam?
Why O Why did I grow up alone?
When so many others have a place to call home?

My life have been stolen, hijacked, and canned.
No one cares, they want to hide their heads in the sand.

They hope beyond hope that I'll just go away!
But I'm not leaving, here I will stay!

Now that I'm grown and have words of my own.
I'll shout and scream and make them hear!
I won't let them shut me out when help is so near!
Save the poor children who are afraid and alone!

I can sing too! 4 years of high school chorus, 3 years of All South Jersey Chorus. Might be more effective to have a child sing it though.
