He is a survivor. I love the books i have for years but since i have started doing this whole recovery thing i havnt been able to stop reading them.

Seriously over the summer and into the school year i read the series from start to finish twice.

I enjoy reading, i usually read much more adult books, from a literary viewpoint the story isn't that original the themes aren't new.

However there is something about the relationships between Harry and the people in his life that strikes me. I can't stop reading the series. I am sitting here debating on if i should read it again or not.

can some one else recomend a book or series of books that has done the same thing for them? I would love to have a list of books to get into so that i can move on from the world of Hogwarts.

omg.. i was so depressed when i read the last one. i was like... now what.. i felt so abandoned. im with you on those books.. they truly are magical. i read them over and over.

You might try Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy. (The first book, "The Golden Compass," just came out as a movie, but there's a lot more in the books!)

The lead character, Lyra, is amazing...and her family is about as dysfunctional as it gets. She's from an alternate version of our world, but the male lead, Will, who shows up in the second book, is from our world, trying to cope with a schizophrenic mother. There's a whole lot in there that survivors can respond to.

One plot element is a plan to assassinate God.

she did write it, and she sold a copy of it in an auction for $4000000.00 she still owns rights to it though and im sure one day publish it
