This is actually a poem I wrote years ago during... a bad time.
As I lay me down to sleep, this pact I seal;
I pray the dark my soul will steal.
If I should die in that dark place,
That's one less day I'll have to face.
So while my body dormant lies,
Sap the fire from these eyes.
Steal the life from this still frame,
For in death there be no shame.
And as my spirit leaves this place,
I'll find sweet solace in death's embrace.
