Hello all, I sit on the drums and I try to play some cool grooves when I can. I play anything I can get my hands whether it be jazz or death metal it does not matter to me.
So my questions is how many are you guys muscians? Or even if you aren't let us know what type of music you are into!

I used to play guitar and harmonica. It's been a few years since I picked up either of them. I am by no means a pro but I do OK. I like almost any music. Not to keen on country and rap. I prefer rock, heavy metal, and blues.

That has been done before believe or not and the band is going pretty strong too. I personally think the rest of the band could be a bit more interesting, but thats my opinion.

I play Bass Guitar. Use to play in a small short-lived garrage punk band. I like playing ANY bass-lines that reveal themselves or truly stand-out in the song (if you know what I mean). You might consider contributing to the Survivors Playlist in the Books and Music Forum. It would be great to see what you listen to. http://www.malesurvivor.org/board/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=143935&page=1#Post143935

A ? to you guys. I am puting together a 10 min Video Report to Congress dealing with our issues. It is a effert to educate.
I was wondering if we could put together the sound track useing all your talent and some kind of solfware. We could send the files over the internet from a hosting site. Each guy could add his parts. Just wondering?

Well, I was a professional opera singer...death metal opera anyone? hahahaha Well Paul, there is a musician called King Diamond that is into that.I mean he is out there, his best 2 albums where "The Graveyard" and "The Eye".This guy does theatrics and the whole deal(great gutarist, plays classical instruments violen etc.)Basically metal, opera, classical all in one. Those 2 albums are all concept albums.(for instance "The eye is based on the salem witch trials) Though lately i been listening to Opeth(album Damnation),a metal band that decided to do a complete turn on this album, almost like a band out of the 70s that decided to do a semi metal album with great feel(acustic guitar etc.emontional vocals). There real mellow on this album, highly recommended even if your not into metal, just for this album that is.Cause rest of thier albums are heavier than Metallica.

tom did anything ever come of this questions? I think it's a great idea. one of the songs i have written at the bginning of my recovery is an instrumental called 'Springdance' . it has a kind of a dated sound [it was written over 20 years ago and the recording is about 15 years, tho it could be easily redone to reflect a fresher sound], but it may be a consideration [....or not ] for some kind of sonic wall paper/theme for your video. lemme know what you think. ron

I play bass, and know my basic way around a guitar, drums, keyboards etc. I can carry a tune OK, just not a huge range ;-) I also spend a lot of time in the mixing/remixing/production area; i'm pretty active here. (There's a kajillion people on there, so i'm not worried about about any potential "web-detectives".) I like a very wide variety of music- it really depends on my mood.

I have been playing guitar for the past 45 years. I usually play the blues on acoustic guitars and resonators (Dobro, National, etc.) fingerstyle and slide, usually in open tunings. I also like roots music of almost any kind.

At one time I was a classical pianist, and once played one of the Prelude's entirely from memory at a large recital. I was also a trombone player in school. Now I play the 18-wheeler like it is a toy, and find a 250 yard drive down the middle to be a very enjoyable experience too. I've seen hundreds of bands, even saw U2 in a bar once, and it wasn't even sold out. My little sister is a vocalist and keyboardist in a bar band, and one brother-in-law is a guitarist in a recognized southern rock band. I enjoy a wide range of music from old blues to rock and modern rock. My wife is trying to get me into country music too, but eeek, I can't stand it. The last two concerts I saw were Government Mule and the Pasadena Philharmonic Orchestra.
Muldoon: Check the spelling of effect and using.

I consider myself a singer first and foremost, and I picked up a guitar to learn a bunch of chords to have a shot at getting to sing for people. I've since picked up a few harmonicas and a piano, though I never claimed to be any good at any of them.
I just love to sing.
