Today, one week after the accident, I finally got further outside than just our yard, and rode in a car for the first time (tho I did back it into another spot yesterday so our grass could get mowed).

My youngest daughter drove me to my family doctor (a rheumatologist) in a nearby town; same one I was on my way to, for water aerobics class, when I had the wreck. He recommended physical therapy, probably about 3x a week. I will start next Monday.

Meanwhile this Thursday, tomorrow, I am going to see my T, my massage T, and my chiro. My youngest daughter & a friend are taking me there, about an hours drive.

Hopefully the insurance will settle soon & I'll be
able to have a car to drive myself--not that this is going to be easy.

Hopefully I'll be able to start back into at least
attending water aerobics classes soon. Getting out
a bit. Having some semblance of a real life! \:o

That's not going to be easy either especially with
the new abuse memories that have come rushing back
as a result of the accident. Along with other relatively new stuff I was dealing with, there's a lot on the plate right now. \:\(

But I'll get by with a little help from my friends... \:\)

Thank you.

Victor

you KNOW what you have to do, look after number one!

And if you want to see what a GOOD crash is like, come off-roading with me sometime, I'll cure a bad back.

Wow! Off-roading with Dave! That sounds cool! But it also sounds kinda scary! Guess it would either make or break this ol' back huh?!

Victor,

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers you enter this new chapter of recovery in your life. You've been through a lot. But I believe that the stuff that comes up for us to handle, while it may seem overwhelming, comes at a time and place when we're ready to meet it and heal some more.

Victor,
I want to echo Rick's words. You are in my thoughts. Take care of yourself.

Dave,
I want to go off roading too! Just let me know when.

Victor,

I like seeing the word "hopefully" when you've gone through so much. Your definitely one of the leaders in the Pack, and I think it's partially because you're always helping us hope.

Listen to your brothers.

I have a sign in front of the passenger seat that reads -
"Fasten you're seat belt - I think I'm going to try something new !"

I don't get many passengers \:\(

Ditto what Rick says,

I think you will find that this 'chaos' comes at a time you are prepared to deal with it, Victor. I have faith in you...

Dave, I am ready for that passenger seat. One of my fondest memories is driving with my father, an amateur racecar driver (SCCA 'C' class) over the back roads near my home town.

It may not have been offroading, but as long as you have a good harness and rollcage, I am game!

Dave, Rick, Mike, Joe & James:

Thanks for your kind & supportive words. I have hope in great part becuz of men like all of you.

Interesting my T, chiro & massage T all said pretty much the same things to me today about how I must be ready for all this new stuff. My daughter & a friend drove me the hour to see them. I'll go weekly for a while. They were all a big help today. As are all of you.

Thanks

Victor
