I went to my psychiatrist today and we went through some history since my disclosure. She told me I am doing well in my recovery process. With time I will get better. The lows are not depression like they were before and there are more highs or level times. I can now identify many emotions that I could not before the disclosure. Like Sad, Happy, anger, empathy, indifferent etc.. I feel emotions now and not block them. The fact that my lows have not lasted long and not turned into full blown depression are signs of true recovery. Never thought I would here those words.
Words can not express how much I appreciate all your feedback, support and kindness that you have shown me in the short time I have been here. You all have helped me realize so much, I never thought I would ever get out of the place I was in when I first came here. 25 years in hell & Silence, now its 7 weeks after disclosure and "Can't stop talking" I am becoming a different person, a free person. I never thought I would ever feel good again but its happening. Thank you all from my heart!
