Watch the faces of the judges as this guy walks out on the stage. You can almost see what they're thinking as they pre-judge him based on his looks and the fact that he's a cell phone salesman. Pay attention to the audience as well.

Maybe this guy stopped believing in what people told him for so many years and ultimately started listening to his passion. If you take only one thing away from his appearance, it should be to never judge a book by its cover. Absolutely fantastic ................

I love that clip. It's so easy to watch it all the way through, each time.

No matter how many times I've seen this over the months it never fails to bring a lump to my throat and even a little moisture to my eyes. It's not just this absolutely stunning piece of music which can cause emotion in it's own right, but it's the story of the humble, unassuming man who discovers he really does have talent and he really is okay just as he is. It gets me every time.

He's blossomed quite well, he has a CD out now and is on a tour. He won the competition and has really took the world by storm.
