mounting bruises all over the place
a punch in the stomach
a slap in the face
love is that what it is suposed to mean?
i dont like that word if that is the way it is
it hurts to be loved
it hurts so much
crying and he doesnt care
cry some more he will say
you disgust me
get out of my face
what did i do this time
i try to be good and to be very still
make no noise because he knows just what to say
something i dont get is
how i could be hurt so bad just to be able to play

If it were as easy as most people think; that you should just "walk away from it" or"I'd a kicked his ass" we wouldn't allow some other man's mental disturbances to be a part of our life. They impose thier troulbled mind on an innocent person
mainly those of us that had our emotional receptors exposed.
Your poem took me inside my bubble of empathy floating through your situation. I hope your writing about a memory and not a current experience!
