Alone he is
With no help or helper
Neither warmth nor shelter
Roaming under the clouds
Disappearing among the crowds
Escaping from the painful memory
That binds him like a pillory
Where to?
You know?
I don't know
Who knows?

heba,

Your poem reminds me a lot of how a friend told me he felt as he tried to deal with his abuse issues; he commented that he felt like he was "walking through an empty town". My own feeling was that it seemed like I was "alone in a crowd".

Your poem captures that same sense of distressed solitude and a feeling of bearing a burden that can't be shared, or if it is, won't be understood. I hope sharing this with us helps you in your quest.

Much love,
Larry
