Nicky,
I lived with my abuser for a year and he had his own cult of followers. I only admitted to it a few weeks ago after 25 years. It hit me harder than anything I have ever dealt with. This place here has helped me beyond words, as well as working with a good therapist. I have cried so many times reading the posts here because I can relate to them and I know I'm no longer alone.
