We don't see the world as it is,
We see the world as we are.
Have you ever gotten really annoyed with something a person does, either once or habitually?
Or noticed that a particular personality trait they have just drives you up the wall?
Something that makes you want to scream and shout or just get away and keep away from them.
Probably pretty common experiences, BUT how often have you noticed (or admitted) that the thing that is so disagreeable is something about yourself? Something you do. A trait you have.
This just happened to me in the past week. A person has been annoying me more and more and more, for a few reasons. Then I realized today that what annoys me the most is something that I do myself if I'm not careful.
I'm not saying it's a really bad thing, or that it is NOT appropriate at certain times and certain places.
But from experience, I know that these actions alienate and annoy when they go on and on and on.
If I knew this person better, I'd tell them to back off this stuff a little, even tell about my own experience acting that way.
But I don't. And the little I know about the person leads me to believe that they would be highly insulted.
So, I'm just staying clear as much as I can. But it's still annoying!!!!
