Wow, guys--

Thanks so much for the feedback.

The kid I was writing to was teaching himself Life 101. I guess I've passed some tests and am now studying Life 102. At least, I want to start thinking of it that way...it beats wandering around thinking I'm screwed up because of the things I still don't know.

This one made me smile. That is SOOOO common among survivors: "I didn't know X" > "I should have known X" > "What a fuck-up I am".

What you're doing is rewriting that false formula into the right one: "I didn't know X" > "Now I do" > Good for me - I'm learning."

That's one of the big differences between spinning our wheels in the past and "staying present".

Much love,
Larry

Thank you David, I cried from "what did you learn in all this time?" I 44yo and I have learned a lot but just starting to learn about my abuse. So many of you guys here express in words what I can only piece together in my mind. It has only been about my 3rd week and I haven't cried this much in years. You all understand and I'm not alone anymore. Thanks again
Rick
