Wow, overwhelmed at this question. Where do you start?
Anything done selfishly that harms another, emotionally or physically.

Hi,
Anything that is done without consideration of someone else (and especially at their expense) is abuse. From what I've observed, those who use other people to meet their needs have abused, whether it's physical violence or manipulation or anything sexual or verbal putdowns. The act of gossip can be an abusive behavior, as can bragging about inappropriate things (you probably know people like that, too, so I'll spare you). I even consider sales pressure tactics to be abuse, but then, I lived with con artists that made salespeople look like rank amateurs and left me with thousands in debt (how I wish that was all they did!).

Here are the one's I have inventoried in the past: Sexual- this does not necessarily have to be violent or even physical. A grown man exposing his genitals to a child is abuse, exposure to pornography by an adult is abusive.
Physical-typically thought of as punches that leaves bruises or cuts. But can also involve being shoved to the ground or physically restrained.
Spiritual-entire books written on this one. For me it was being exposed to a fundamentalistic religion that made me feel separate and apart and different from my friends and the world. For example, I was not allowed to hang out with my friends at school dances because of my parents religious beliefs. Intellectual-could include a school teacher calling a student "stupid" or lack of accomodation, understanding or being treated differently because of a learning disability
emotional-I see this as more of the verbal abuse and criticism that I received as a child. I also include emotional incest by my mother in this category and the lack of affection emotional nurturing by both of my parents
I am sure there is a bunch more that I cannot think of right now.
Peace
