Gary,

Let me know what night. If I'm available I wouldn't mind stopping in.

Of course a time that will work out for everyone might be problematic, so I'll just show if and when I can.

I would like to be a part of this as well, if you guys don't mind praying for a spiritual train wreck. Thursday or Friday would be better for me.

Gary, if you can, please do try to avoid any conflict with the Healing Circles.

Gary,

Do you want to make an announcement giving some ideas of what you're offering, parameters, etc. I think you need to make clear that this isn't a venue to debate the church's culpability where CSA issues are concerned.

Also, what's your constituency? Committed Christian men who wish to form a prayer group? Guys of other faiths welcome? What about survivors who have been spiritually compromised by abuse?

This is your ball, so I would say just form a core group and decide what you want to do. Be clear about what you're offering, and guys can decide whether this is something they would like to participate in.

Just some thoughts.

Much love,
Larry

Good Point. This Prayer group is open to anyone that would like to attend. I am just going to pray for the needs of the MS site and any need that might arise in the circle. All Men are created in the Image of God.....I think it is important to pray one for another. No debating

Oops! Sorry, Gary, I totally forgot. I should have put it in my computer calendar to pop up a reminder to me. Friday nights may indeed be a bad time for a lot of guys; Saturday nights, too. Maybe we can reschedule to a weeknight?

Gary,

Im working the late shift this week, which includes Friday night. Next Friday night will work better for me. However, it can be sooner than that. It might also be a good idea if a group PM was sent to everyone who responded to this thread reminding them. I would appreciate that a lot.

Andy

Hi, Gary,

I had a thought while I was unloading the dishwasher while ago (I do some of my best thinking while doing the mundane \:\) ). Something you might think about is starting a thread in the Spirituality forum here called "MS Prayer Thread" or something like that. It could be a thread where people could post their prayers for the site and individuals, or people could ask for prayer for specific needs. I'd see it as being an ongoing thread, and it would be a way of lifting up the needs of the site and those here, as well as those who are still hurting from the past.

Just a thought,
Eddie

I completely forgot \:\(

I'll attempt to remember next week if we do it again. Don't give up on us even if we have to reschedule a different night.

Hi Gary, et al,

I haven't beenbhere much lately, so this is the first time I've seen this.

I would love to be a part of this prayer and fellowship team. Count me in. As soonas you decide on a good night or if you just decide to set up a prayer room, let me know.

God bless,

Hey Guys,

I am all for the prayer circle. The time is the problem. I was wondering could in addition to what you have planned, could we start a thread that we could just go into to add our prayer in written form as a post? Kinda a continual prayer without ceasing! Let me know what you think. Here is what I mean:

Post:;

Lord, today I pray for my brother here at MS. I know the hurt and pain they have lived in. May your comfort and peace touch their lives today. I pray especially for my friend.... who is dealing with depresssion and memories. May your healing hand touch him today.

In your name...

Then some one else could add a post...

What do ya think?

Army

Unfortuantely, only Thursday and Friday and possibly Saturday would work for me - but I will keep the circle in my prayers and trust God will work out the perfect night for all of you.

Gary,

I think you will have to pick a day and time and see how it works out - there just won't be a time that will suit everyone. But perhaps if one circle is successful there can be others at different times.

One suggestion: I really would try to avoid conflicts with the Healing Circles that are already in place, if that is at all possible.

Much love,
Larry

I've been thinking about just creating a room called "Prayer Circle" when I'm in chat and see who shows up. If no one - I can always go back to the lounge. Taking nothing from Gary - but why should he bear the responsibility alone? Couldn't each of us make the channel when we're there - or join it if it's already there?

Just thinking out loud.

Mark,

That sounds like a great idea. For the time being Gary's health may not permit him to organize the more formal gathering he had in mind, but sure, something spontaneous could also be arranged. Why not? I would say go for it Mark; do it, see who shows how, and take it from there.

Much love,
Larry

Wojax,
ABSOLUTELY. Great idea. I would like a Friday evening as a way to begin what are often empty times alone...and perhaps for others as well. I will keep looking.

Guys I still plan on having the prayer circle but if I am to lead it it will have to be some time in April 08. God has been blessing me and I need to make sure that im well enough to do this and I am truting in the Lord for April.
I do try and pray for you guys everyday. In my prayer life I see some of you come to my mind so you get special prayer cause that is how God works in my life he brings names to my mind and I stop what im doing and pray for you. You should feel those prayers as thay come your way.

I would be feel honored and privileged to join.
Please sign me up.

Prayer is not eloquence, but earnestness; not the definition of helplessness, but the feeling of it; not figures of speech, but earnestness of the human soul.

If you need something to pray for please pray for me this is going to me a rough time for me and my family. But, I know God has me in his hands. I do love you guys and I pray for you all the time. You all will be on my mind. God bless

Gary,

You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this challenging time.

So those who can - March 13th. I'll open the channel if it isn't there when I log on - and we can start with prayers for our friend.

You remain in my heart and prayers, Gary. Read through Psalm 121 again - God has you in His hands and heart.

I echo the sentiment of those above. You will be my prayers also. I do hope and pray all goes well for you and your family during this difficult time.

Hope to her nothing but positive results soon.
