Hi,
That is a movie a buddy from work had suggested to me to see. Great movie this is. It is unusual, weird, and amazing.
I recommend. There are no exceptionally triggering moments, at least for me.

Great movie but maybe a bit triggering for anyone who dissociates and has an incest history -- lots of nighttime disorientation in a suburban house. So depending on your experiences, be forewarned.

a mate showed me this film, could not carry on watching it. totaly lost it and just seeing the cover is triggering to me.

i really enjoyed this film when i first saw it. its really strange though big time trigger warning for it.

Wow as for triggers. I thought I might be alone in this. But these responses are making me consider a possibility: I think you could make a case that this film is about incest, dissociation and warped (but non-schizophrenic--in the DVD version you find out he has been taking a placebo med) experiences of time, space and memory. Anyone else?

Guys,
I agree this film is not easy to watch, and it can be scary.
I don't know about any mental health problems that can lead to what Donnie experienced, but surely the idea of this movie is great.
As others said, be aware of triggers in the realm of dissociation. Some child porn issues are brought up as well.

I am yet to watch the film, but will be, with 2 male companions who are survivors of incest.
Please let me know how triggering this film could be to someone who is yet to fully acknowledge abuse.
One of them had a panic attack after watching "Mysterious Skin" (based on the Scott Heim book).
