If you are a survivor of abuse in the military you have probably already seen my announcement of Mic Hunter's new book Honor Betrayed: Sexual Abuse in America's Military. Mic is a member of the BoD of Male Survivor and many of you will know his classic Abused Boys. Both of these books are available from our bookstore, link from our home page.

What you may NOT have noticed is that Mic will be the keynote speaker at the forthcoming MS conference in New York at the end of October. I told him that we are beginning to see more guys who were abused in the military, and he would be happy to meet any of you guys who can make it to the conference.

This would be a great opportunity to meet and talk to a real pioneer in the field who is genuinely interested in your issues and right up to date on them.

when you say "sexual abuse in the military" what do you mean? I was abused by my dad while he was in the military.

doesn't really matter i guess, i won't be at the conference.

MSA tends to be caused by the people that are in the higher ranks , and they prey on those who are not able to do any thing about it. I am not able to atend this confrence . because of agoraphoba and other problems that are relaited to my military rape . I hope that his book helps other victoms of MST

I was thinking of abuse of servicemen by superior officers. But Mic's book may cover your situation as well; I cannot say, as the book is very recent and I haven't read it yet.
