my most sincere apologies for a poor choice of words; all i was trying to say was there was no doubt that a sexual act had occurred;

under what circumstances, etc., is what is in question (in a legal sense) and a matter of who says what. that is what would have to be proved, or disproved, in a court of law.

i know how high your emotions are right now, honestly i DO, but in dealing with legal matters, we have to do the best we can to rein in our emotions in order to keep our thoughts focused on what can and cannot be done.

i hope this helps to clarify things.

hey wife, wanted to respond earlier but really don't have alot of advice. My assault happened in the 80's when charges would have been laughed out of court.

Just want you to know that my thought's are with you and hope that maybe, just maybe society has actually moved forward.

Thanks to everybody for the support and words of wisdom. Indygal, so sorry if my last post sounded pissy. I really did think about what you said and you made some really good points. Certainly, we don't want this to go to court, obviously it would be painful and embarrassing. However, my H is adamant that he will not give her anything. Not now, not ever. In his words, "She will not be rewarded for what she took from me." I honestly don't even think it's about money for her, as it's about making sure that he remembers her. Power. Could she go to court and lie? Sure. But hopefully it won't get that far.
