Be honest with yourself.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you want them to treat you. (Treat everyone with kindness, regardless of how they act)
Silver Rule: Don't treat others the way you don't want them to treat you. ("Turn the other cheek")
Bronze Rule: Treat others the way they treat you. (Treat kindness with kindness, evil with justice)
Iron Rule: Treat others before they treat you. (Do what you will, without consideration of the outcome)
Tin Rule: Treat your superiors and equals with respect, and your inferiors with contempt. (Everyone has his station in life; act accordingly)
Which rule governs your behavior most of the time? I confess I deal mostly in the Tin Rule, where superiors equals family and friends.
