My wife called me at work today to come home a bit early. She thought I would want to watch the Dr. Phil Show about a little girl abused by her grandfather. I didn't see it all, but what I saw was very good. It was unbelievable to me how the perp acted after being in jail and having two years of "therapy". He STILL accepted no responsibility for what happened. Part 2 of the show will be on Monday 8/20. On that show, the victims parents cofront the perp. The little girl will be on also  . I think it's worth a look based on what I saw today. http://www.drphil.com/shows/show/877/

The wild thing about abusers when they talk about what happened is the way they seem to create their own little fantasy world and believe their own bullshit. It's times like this I'm glad the abuser dropped dead years before I began to face things.

Hi,
I hope it was a good show. I'm not sure perps will ever accept reality, or deal with what they did. Somehow they all think they're good people, upstanding citizens, etc. Yeah, right, tell it to the Judge who saw everything.

some perps eventually do recognize the full damage they have done. very few , but some, do genuinely want to help in the healing process, if they can.
I know someone who, seems to be one of these.
It took him over 15 years to realize the full damage he had done to his daughters, but he is doing all he can to try and help.
