I've been struggling with an ED for a while now. I started to not eat as much and making myself throw up when I was 12 and a half until 14 and a half ish. For about two years. Recently I started to take the healing process seriously.

Right now I'm 5'0 and I weigh 79 pounds. When I hit 80 they're considering letting me go home. Kinda just wanted to share this. I dunno how many others are dealing with this.

I wonder about this too Nyjah. I have a friend who is over 300 pounds. I often think "what happened in his childhood".

To me, either ED is basically a compulsive behavior, and yes I've struggled with compulsive behaviors myself, just not those related to food.

Actually, when I first started dealing with the SA issue back in late 1995 -1996, I had a mild - moderate nervous breakdown. An ED emerged out of it. I lost somewhere between 20 - 25 within a few weeks. I've always been kind of tall thin anyway, so was really noticeable, and unhealthy.

I started in counseling about the SA issues, not the ED. Once I got started, I started to eventually eat properly again. The ED was a symptom of what was really wrong with me. I eventually put on a few pounds. I hope that helps.
