I'm down in the SF Bay penninsula during the week now and I'd like to find a support group or peer support. I find that talking to other survivors is very helpful and grounding for me, and I hope for them as well.

I've been hosting a group of survivors for the past five months. If anyone is interested in meeting in San Francisco, let me know.

Thanks!
Randy

I don't know of any groups in the south bay. Rabbit's group is currently meeting once a month in the city. You would have to PM him for the details.

I'm still looking for a support group in the South Bay during the week too. I'm only down in the Bay Area during the week M-Th and I go home to the Sierra Foothills every weekend.

I'm only in the South Bay during the week for work so the SF meeting on Saturday wouldn't do for me. I'm trying to relocate somewhere in the South Bay permanently but it's been difficult selling my home in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm still looking for a group.

I just want to bring this back up to the top to see if anyone has a group in the south bay.

I know I'm new so maybe I'm too new to be asking about this? But I've been looking for something in the SF Bay Area (I'm in the city) and I'd love to have info about something if you're comfortable.

I haven't seen anything yet. There was a post from a therapist in the city that had a group going for male incest victims a week or so ago. I copied down the name and number but I haven't called yet.

Just bumping this up to the top again.

I'm seeing a new therapist now but I still miss the comfort of talking to fellow survivors. It just seems that guys who have been through CSA 'get it' when we talk about what we're going through now.

Hello, I am interested not only in a male Survivor group but also in connecting with an agency that would allow me to volunteer with abused men. Any info, men?

Hi-

I'm a therapist in San Francisco- the one who posted quite a while ago about a therapy group I run for gay men molested as children or adolescents by family members or or other trusted people. There are 2 openings in the group, one a low fee space. If anyone is interested, feel free to call me. (415) 626-5415

I'll also post here if I hear of any other groups- peer run or by a therapist.

Take good care, everyone-

Susan Wachob, LCSW

Hey guys,

Dennis here. I'm also a male survivor of sexual abuse. My stepdad would hold my hairless balls and cock while spanking me and this went on till I was 15 yrs old. I was a slow grower. Very few pubes till about age 17.

I would love to chat with another guy who experienced similar or who is open to chat about similar.

Thanks,
Dennis in Sac, Calif area

Hey Dennis,

Welcome to MS. I'M glad you found us although I'm sorry for the reasons that brought here. Do you have a community ressource center in your area that you can call? If so, they would know if what you are looking for exists near you.

In the meantime, feel free to share with us. You'll find that we are a caring and compassionate bunch of guys and I'm sure that the collective wisdom of the membership will be beneficial to you.

Are there any support groups for male survivors north of the golden gate?
