And it is good. I know that. I think I am just coming down after being on high alert for the last 6 months. He is safe. He is where he needs to be. This is all good.

Sounds like I don't have to say I'm sorry, but more like good luck. I hope it will be what you are hoping to get out of this and more.
Rob is a great guy and with this attitude I'm sure it will all turn out to be just fine, even though it will be hard too I imagine. Rob is doing what he needs to do for himself, that in itself is something to applaud him for.

Hey everyone

An update. Rob has been upgraded from suicide observation to suicide awareness, so he can move around a little more. He is in great spirits and looks better than he has in months.

The facility is amazing. So bright, awesome people. It is an answer to prayer. And only 15 minutes from the house. It is the closest hospital to us.

While this is never a situation we want to be in, this is the optimal given the situation. It has all been so smooth, so good. I see God's hand in the details.

I've been on vacation and just got home this afternoon to see this. All my best to you and Rob and the kids. I can't imagine how hard it must be for all of you. I want to write so much, but the only thoughts coming to my head are that you are good people and good people deserve, and most times receive, good things, even if you have to take the hard way around sometimes.

Hey everyone

Rob did not have a good day today, but was where he needed to be. Right now they are trying to figure out the meds and have changed diagnoses, which, changes the meds. It will take a bit to figure out what is going to work.

I have had one of those days where reality is setting in. Rob is safe and where he needs to be, and I am starting to process this past week. I came so close to losing him. I am tired and drained, but in good spirits. Cause I didn't lose him. And we will beat this. I know we will.

I truly want to thank everyone who has reached out.

Hey everyone,

Another thing I forgot to mention...Rob's employer has been phenominal. I have had calls asking if I need help with meals, anything they can do, and asking where they can send things to Rob (flowers, etc)...and this is from the president of the company on down.

It has been such an answer to prayer...so great about getting the disability info, reasurring the job will be there, and just telling Rob to not worry and do what he needs to do to get better. All the details have been so perfect. God is good.

Lorie I have gotten to know Rob these last few months from our Healing Circles each Sunday. He is so strong and determined to move forward and get better.

WE all knew that this last week was going to be hard on him, and it was good to see that he did the right thing, by reaching out and asking for help.

Hey everyone

An update: Had a family meeting with his psychiatrist and social worker. Things are going well and he is making real progress. They are working on getting the meds adjusted to the right levels. The doctor anticipates a 7-10 inpatient stay, so end of this week or early next week before he gets out.

Some real progress tho--no flashbacks yesterday! That is only the second flashback free day since October! An answer to prayer. And none so far today.

He wasn't wearing a hat...I know that may sound strange, but he has been hiding under hats for the past several months. Today no hat...and life in his eyes.

Thanks to you all for your love and support. It has made such a difference. For those of you who pray, please pray for wisdom with the kids. I really am at a loss as to how to explain all of this to them.

Rob is coming home on Friday!!! The insurance company said this, but the doc is ok with it. Rob is making great progress and the meds are working perfectly with little to no side effects.

I am going for lunch today with Raegan and hope to find out more about after care and such.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!!! He is a new man. No flashbacks for 3 days running! It is amazing. And now he wants to get out...a sign he is getting better.

I will try to post again later today. I have to get my daughter to swimming lessons now....lol. My world is so diverse...psychiatric care to swimming lessons! lol

I was out all day and arrived home to see three big boxes on the front porch...some kind of food company. I saw them and thought great one of those food services screwed up. When the kids got to the boxes, they said they have your and dads name on them. I looked and there was a UPS label addressed to us. I opened them up...Rob's company sent us a weeks worth of gourmet frozen food!!! fliet mignon, crab cakes, french cut pork....it is amazing! We are going to eat like kings!

Lorie printed this thread oout for me and brought it to the hospital. It truly made the last few days very survivable.
