Just, I am curious, what do these do? If you add someone to your buddy list, what do that do for you? Or the ignore list? Do you just not get that person's PMs, or do you not see their posts on the board also, like 'ignore' in chat use to be? I just seen those before, and never know what they do.

Ignore blocks PM's only, not posts. The buddy list is like an address book for sending PM's. Finally one I can answer \:D --SAR

Actual, I find out that ignore blocks post also. The person's name will still come up, but the 'body' of the post is not there, it is only a line that say 'You are ignoring this user'.

But I still do not know what a buddy list do.

Very cool SAR. I laughed myself silly at this one - made my evening. I get so frustrated sometimes listening to discussions of these computer/software issues and feeling it's all gibberish. I yearn for a quill pen and inkpot sometimes!

Much bungling,
Larry

ak,

The original post is from when we were using the last version of the forum software. I think that what you're describing is correct for the site right now. The buddy list is still like an address book. When you go to a new PM there is a link to it next to the place where you enter the name of the person you want to PM.

Thanks
SAR

The ignore button is a good thing. Just saying it.
