Hello,

A couple of weeks ago I went to a theater in Moscow to see the scenic fantasy "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" based on novel by Ken Kesey.

It was much of an entertainment, and a tragedy in the second part. The actors' play was superb. At the end of the performance I felt so strong and complex feelings I almost started crying. I was shocked by how well the actors transferred their emotions to me.

I also recommend the movie "One flew over the cuckoo's nest", but compared to the theater it is not as strong.

Alexey

Alexey,

I'm glad you enjoyed that one; it's an absolute classic. And I know what you mean about seeing it on stage. So often the transformation from stage to screen loses something of the power of the play.

Can I ask where you saw it? I taught at Moscow Stae University for a semester and have a lot of wonderful memories of the city.

Much love,
Larry

Larry,

Thanks for reply. It is indeed a good story... I am glad you have taught at Moscow State University, and I like to walk over there...

I watched the performance in Lenkom, the theatre on Malaya Dmitrovka street. That is a theater famous in Moscow, too bad I have only twice been there.

Thanks.

Alexey

it is incredible the reactions a piece of art can cause

and much to my surprise as well when i see them, even though i create things.

this is a really intense story. seeing it alone

must have been very intense.
