Hi Nate,
Welcome aboard! Glad you came in out of the shadows and decided to join us.
You're right. It is definitely a process, journey, path, all those things, but not so much a destination. It's something we'll be working on the rest of our lives, but hopefully we get the really difficult and painful stuff our of the way fairly early on in the process.

Nate, welcome. I presume you mean West Coast - a different planet than Missouri - but there are groups for PTSD, MS etc - to face another male who 'knows' is a great relief.
As Walking South says, this a new journey that does not need to be made alone. Every emotion will be experienced, balance can be reached, keep your seat belt on and know ,unfortunately, we are every where but understand.
