I am working on revising and expanding the existing bookstore section for Family and Friends. Could I ask for the assistance of our friends and partners?

Could you let us know here of any books that you found especially useful for your needs and concerns as family members, friends, and partners? Please do go ahead and mention a book even if you see someone else has also liked it and posted about it. I want to get a sense for what's most appreciated by you all. if there's a hands-down favorite, that's worth knowing.

I know a few of you have done a lot of reading. Any insights or recommendations you may have will be very helpful to others who come here to this forum. Thanks.

Much love,
Larry

Morning Star,

Thanks for that one. Just another word to partners though. We really would like to include books that you think helped you, so please take a moment here and tell us what you have liked.

Much love,
Larry

I really haven't read anything relating to this other than Victims No Longer and Abused Boys. Unless you count snippets of Men are From Mars/Women are from Venus or The Rules, which my friend thought would be hysterical to give to me, I'm afraid I have nothing to contribute to this one.

ROCK ON........Trish

betrayal trauma is excellent; maybe hard to find tho; i think it's a bit dated? i found it at the library. of course allies in healing is good; but betrayal trauma really answers a lot of questions - anyway read my post i talk about it there:

am reading finding fish presently; **trigger **

i think i'm numb just from the passage about him being sodomized by a female when he was so young, it's just devastating to read/realize, come to grips w/reality. saw the movie so know the story already.

so i'd recommend this one also,know it's a fave already w/survivors.

larry you should also add videos/films to the list don't you think?

the hand of god (film) is excellent about clergy abuse in boston explains a lot i think in a clear way.

oh so i guess antwone fisher also if you add films
