i figure this will start a shit storm ,but here goes, tonight i watched dateline its a news show here in the u.s. for the last year or so in co operation with authorities ,yes its done with the authorities , one of the so called vigilante groups ,that i wont name here is the driving force behind this . what they do is find perps through chat rooms for teens ,then the perps come to what they think is the home of a 13 year old girl who they have talked to about having sex, but the AUTHORITIES are waiting instead ,in 4 days 21 pedophiles were arrested. yet not one police department is doing this on their own ,its only when the group brings publicity to them that they act ,its good to see that somebody is saying to hell with being nice and busting these sickos. i have only one critisizm for this ,why dont they use a 13 year old boy also? its so typical ,it never enters their minds that there are perps in that same chat room who are looking for boys,and a 13 year old girl is not gonna bait them . its a perfect example of how male sa is ignored ,even by people who care. i think we should all e mail the show and ask them why.

They have used males before. One guy who thought he was coming to see a 13-year-old boy actually brought his own son with him - the kid was like 5. Jesus, was that bust hard to watch.

They use boys too, but not as often I don't think.

It's never near as even. I mean anything that puts a pervert behind bar's is good, dispite the sex of the victim. But the amount that males are ignored is crazy. Where i am there's these commercials to do with sex abuse and shelters and all that. All women and girls. It wouldnt kill anybody to publicly acknowledge that men and boy's need that same amount of help and resources.

They tend mostly to pose as girls, but they have used boy decoys.

Boys are not abused as much as girls. The abuse rates for girls are MUCH higher, almost 25-35%. It's shameful.

Good point ste, but I think a lot of girls don't talk about it either. Most of the women that I know who were raped never reported it.
