Yeah, but I do agree that the sentence is far too severe and wholly disproportionate to actual abuse cases.

so whats the answer? any ideas on how to wipe out child sex abuse without locking perps up? thousands of images,not one or two thousands ,now tell me you believe that looking for pics online was enough to satisfy this guy. would it be too harsh if he was left out there and molested a kid ?or two or two hundred? then the conversation would be about how fucked up the system is cause they had him and let him go! somebody has to do more than just say oh thats terrible that csa stuff ,yeah it screws kids up forever ,but lets get the perp into therapy ,maybe we can save him ,who the hell is saving the kids!? but wont we all feel better about ourselves if we can reform just one perp? the politicly correct world has everything ass backwards ,we should get therapy for the kids and to hell with what happens to the perp! the perp should not be the important thing here!! one of the so called vigilante groups has struck a blow for survivors again ,i'll start a new post on it.

While I'm glad the guy got busted, I do believe the sentence was disproportionate in the extreme compared with cases where criminals are basically slapped on the wrist and let go to do it again.

This was the case with my brother-in-law the first time he offended a few years back. He got 6 months on work release for sexually abusing a pair of 10 and 12 year-old brothers. Then last year he was sentenced to 15 years for raping his own son for 4 years beginning around age 4. WTF? And compare that to 200 years for downloading child porn? I'd rather have seen my brother-in-law get the 200 years and the downloader get 15!

Maybe it is in thought of 'it's a start'. I don't know.

With the one of my abuser who is in prison, me and other person were told, very honest, by police, that he would not be into prison for very long for 'just' sexual abuse. He, he is quite insane and done much more then that, what I can not even say, and include murder to three people. That is what put him into there forever. But for 'just' sexual abuse of me and other person? No, not so much problem of that I guess.
