Okay, I hope this doesn't sound too corny, but I decided to purchase Nick Lachey's What's Left of Me CD, basically because I think J. Simpson is a real loser for leaving him, and I wanted to support his music. I hope he gets over her and never takes her back (Uh-oh I think my celebrity crush is showing).
I have gradually been noticing that these "heartache" and "getting over you" songs are helping me to tune into my own personal grief due to the loss of my childhood innocence. I have been finding a certain amount of strength to continue my recovery in several of the songs on his CD.
Here is a track listing, it should give you an idea of how it could apply:
What's Left Of Me
I Can't Hate You Anymore
On Your Own
Outside Looking In
Shades Of Blue
Beautiful
Everywhere But Here
I Do It For You
Run To Me
Ghosts
You're Not Alone
Resolution
I thought it was worth mentioning, although I am a LITTLE embarassed by it, but then again who gives a crap... whatever helps counts.
