My sex drive is much lower than my wife's and it is giving us difficulty. We are going to go back to therapy to work on things but I am wondering if there is something else I can do. There are so many vitamin products out there...do ANY of them work?

Exercise and a healthy diet can help, as it raises your energy level. Try to get more sleep, and get your stress level down.

Tobey - You might also want to check with your doctor about your hormone levels (particularly testosterone), since low levels could result in a low interest in sex. Hormone replacement therapy is available in several forms to bring your levels back up.

Tobey,

Bottom line is that there is help available so don't despair. Between working on therapy issues with your T, there are medical interventions as well as diet, exercise, and food supplements. Talk to your MD about the things Eddie suggests. Don't let him brush you off. If he can't help you, ask him for a referral to someone who can.

Good luck,

John

All good advice. I would just add that depression, in all its forms, acute and chronic, is notorious for causing reduced libido. Are you looking into that, Tobey?

Well I want to thanks you all for your replys. I made a doctor's appointment for July 31st. I want to make sure it;s not anything physical going on.

I know I need to de-stress.....I do excersise but I still need to do more....also I know right now I am not working and am just ...here...for now in the summer. I have a job lined up for the fall and then also I will be going to college full-time....(45 but returned to college) I will certainly consider the depression aspect of it too.

Thanks guys,
Tobey

Yeah, good diet plenty of exercise, and working on hobbies or learning stuff.
Depression can cause it too, so can the meds that control it.

A good mix of meds and therapy is the best way out, I hope you find it, and try to find high strength Omega 3 capsules, they are very good for a healthy nervous system, it costs a load, but I swear by it, make sure it is pure though,
