Channel 4 11am. Boys v Girls.
The program takes kids back in time to the 50s, and the strict teaching of those times.

The boys all are all given short back and sides haircuts and kitted out in school uniform.
The girls have their makeup scrubbed off, and all piercings removed.

The boys are segragated from the girls, and matron and the head find them hiding modern stuff like phones and sweets, and make them tell the truth about why they hid them.

The were given an easy an exam which would have been set at the time, but the questions were simple ones, and they did abysmally.

They hated it, one boy ducked out, but it made the others take resolve to stick with it.
As each day wore on, they found that hey, they loved it, strictness and all.

The teachers, headmaster and matron are a force to be reckoned with, and definitely one to watch,

structure is good i think!

i won't go 'heady'

but there is such a thing as good structure and
bad structure.

i had to wear a uniform... to tell the truth -
it made life much easier - 5 shirts - 2 pairs of pants - two ties - and a jacket - and a few sweaters - no fashion thinking needed really -

up and out in 15 minutes - shower and all.

the timing of this program is meant so that school kids can watch it in school.

Wow, it took me back to just how strict it really was, but these kids loved it after the initial shock of doing without their daily expectations.

I had a maths teacher who used to whack me hard, and I remember standing up to him, but I still think of him as a great master.
He taught me loads, because he believed in me,
