i used to be a production designer's assistant
on a few projects -

and i remembered him saying - paste-wax is best for wood - but time consuming -

- i also saw this on the anitque's roadshow

i fixed up my front door this past year -
and this morning -

i paste waxed the door -

you have to build up layers - and do it evenly -

it takes time -but after a few layers -

the wood work - starts to visually 'pop' -

it's really beautiful and elegant

stinky - but such a sheen and a glow -

the layers capture light and enhance the wood -

so nicely -

and i got it at Homo Depot -

very nice.

it's a really opulent affect

the only change i made to the 1970s wood panel door was to add two picture moldings to make it
look like panels inset - on the door -

the wax - really makes the look - complete - (brings it on home... lol)
and quite the faux 'rich look'

it really looks a 'million bucks' -
